Our children participate in many 'Healthy Living' activities throughout the school. We recognise the health benefits of 'Healthy Living' and use this to promote this amongst the children. Having achieved phases 1-4 over the past few years we are now working towards phase 5 by promoting a healthier lifestyle to our pupils and staff. Take a look at some of the events we have promoted with the children recently. |

Children at Cwm Glas School are enjoying the health benefits thanks to the launch of our new 'Little Wrigglers' gym
Swansea's own health and fitness guru, Tara Hamnett has supported our school venture by opening the gym and recognising how phyusical activity promotes learning.
Little Wrigglers gym is a fun fitness club aimed for Foundation Phase children, aged between 3 - 7 years. At Cwm Glas School, the staff are committed to a whole school approach in developing the health and well-being of both pupils and staff. Children have participated in a 'Healthy Living' week where children attended a range of workshops aiming to explore what is to be fit and healthy.
The mini gym equipment includes exercise bikes, gliders, stepper machines .... all designed to meed the physical needs of very young children. Children with specail educational needs will also benefit from the use of the gym, especially children with recognised co-ordination difficulties.
